Probably a weak answer, but I sat here thinking, and all I could come up with is my house. It was built long before I was born, and I’ve owned it for around eight years. I use my house daily for housing type things: living, sleeping, eating, showering, and many other things. I know my response to the prompt is silly, but honestly, in the world we live in today, I’m thankful and grateful every day for being able to say I own a home. It isn’t easy, and nothing is really affordable anymore, so I count my blessings. Each day as a home owner brings on another stress as well. Whether it’s an increase in property tax, or something breaking and needing to be fixed or replaced. We manage our money decently, but we are by no means on the wealthy side. So when those types of things happen, or the cost of living goes up, we have to take a step back and reassess our situation. But yes, aside from my favorite coffee mug (that I don’t use every day), I’d say my house is the oldest thing I own that I use daily. I look forward to reading everyone else’s responses to this. Perhaps I’m not looking at the daily prompt with the right idea, but thinking on this gave me a greater appreciation of what I have… and it happened on a day I needed to be reminded of that, so that’s a bonus.
