Jon Solo Sebastian
Author and creator of The Hunted; a horror and paranormal thriller series. Freelance Writer. Podcast host.

“Born in the era of flannel shirts and feedback, Jon Solo Sebastian is a child of the 90’s who never outgrew grunge riffs, weird history, or tales of monsters lurking in the woods. He’ll tell you he’s not that interesting, but only because his imagination does all the heavy lifting. The things that live in his head refuse to stay there—they jump onto the page instead.
Jon Solo Sebastian is the author and creator of The Hunted; a series consisting of four books, and a graphic novel. Sins Arise, Brighton Falls, Casey Raines, and Echoes of Summer follow the main character David Delarosa; a detective hot on the trail of a serial killer that stirs up echoes of the past in a haunting, brutal, and tragic way. The series explores how a troubling past will continue to haunt you until you either learn from it, or let it destroy you. The series blends horror, paranormal, thriller, and fantasy genres in a story suited for adults and young adult readers.” ~ Erin Santana
I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio where I’ve had my share of adventures and some encounters with the unknown. I got into creative writing when I was a teenager. I had to write a one page story for English class, and what I wrote became part of the outline for the Hunted comic book I began drafting a few years back.
Outside of writing books, I’ve also fronted a few local metal bands, which led me into lyric writing; a different method of storytelling that drew me toward poetry as well. I’m currently compiling a collection of those lyrics and poems, past and present, which will be released under the title Stranger in a Strangeland: Words of the Wanderer. In addition, I’ve written screenplays for short films. One of them, One in the Barrel: A Western Flick, won awards and garnered acclaim on the indie film festival circuit. Late summer of 2025, a screenplay written by me, titled: Jiu-Jitsu Jon was filmed. I worked with an amazing crew, and a wonderful group of young local actors as we all brought this story to life.
I’ve bled my soul onto pages for songs, stories, the articles I’ve written on http://www.jonsolosebastian.org, and a podcast I created, managed, and hosted for over 150 episodes. I’m in my comfort zone when I’m creating, but I also find peace doing anything outdoors like axe throwing, random yard work, or a hike in the woods. When I’m ready to relax, it doesn’t get much better than a bonfire on a cool summer night with some coffee and a book to read.
