Cryptids, Ghost Hunting, Mythology, Folklore, Supernatural Sightings, Horror, Science Fiction, and Gaming

Hello My Name Is:

Today I thought it would be fun to tell you a little more about myself. The site has bits of me scattered around. You can see that I’m a writer, I love horror, I love cryptids and haunted places, and I’m a podcast host/producer. But who am I?

Here are five random things about me you likely didn’t know until today. I wonder how many of my friends and family that read this will learn something new about me, as well.

I create nearly unwinnable battles/projects for myself with unreasonable due dates with the reward of doing something unproductive. I *do* win and reach the goals, but I’ve already created more projects so the reward is still out of reach. It’s the dangling carrot, but my self-sabotage is the reason I never reach the carrot. I could take it, I could be unproductive, but then I’d always be behind. It might sound sad or troubling, but it’s how I continue to get things done, and getting things done makes me happy and makes me feel good.

You could ask me tomorrow what my favorite comedy is and I might answer with The Naked Gun, or Supertroopers, or There’s Something About Mary. Today, it’s Spaceballs. I’ve had the movie on my mind lately because the announcement of a sequel was made recently. Unfortunately in my opinion, they waited too long to make a sequel. Mel Brooks is producing it, so I think it’s in good hands, but loss of actors and the age of others leads me to wonder what the movie will be like. I’ve watched Spaceballs more times than I can count, and I’ve recited the lines with friends and family—and strangers on occasion. While a lot of it is inappropriate, it brings laughter to every person I’ve ever met who’s seen the film. My former podcast co-host (and close friend) and I dedicated an episode to Spaceballs because we love the film so much. Here’s the link to that episode if you’re interested in giving it a listen. I still occasionally watch the TV series Saved by the Bell. It’s on Roku on the bedroom TV when I go to bed, so sometimes I put it on and still crack up at all the silliness in the show until I fall asleep. The schemes Zack Morris pulls that always backfire on him—why do all his friends put up with him? I think the answer is: they’d be bored without Zack in their lives ha ha. Anyway, the show is hilarious and it has been hilarious ever since I discovered it when I was younger.

This is more for the people that know me, but— the beanies I wear are indeed hats/beanies and have not actually become a part of my head. I love wearing beanies, and honestly feel naked without them because I’ve grown so used to seeing myself with them on.

This wraps up round one of the random things about me piece. I’ll do these here and there just because it’s a fun break from the usual things I do. Hope you enjoyed it, and as always, thank you so much for taking a moment out of your day to read the things I write. It truly means everything to me.
