What does “Having it all” Mean to Me

Daily writing prompt
What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

I’m a pretty simple man. Having it all, to me, means—peace… peace of mind, peace of the soul, peace in my surroundings and family. A scenario I long for, is to be in a position where I can spend my days in a small house or cabin with a small farm. It would be a place to live, but also a place to work; work meaning—I’d somehow have achieved my dream of becoming not just a great writer/author, but one who can make a living as a writer. The rest of my day would be spent working on the farm taking care of the land and the animals we’d have on it. As much as I love my friends and family, I would prefer it to be a place just for me, my wife, and our cat… we’d probably have a dog in this scenario, as well. I just want the simple life. I know nothing will ever be stress/worry-free, but I feel like this is the life I want and in some ways deserve after living in the chaos for so many years.

Is this attainable?

I believe so. I feel like my dreams as a writer/author come down to luck, or a toss of a coin, but the rest is attainable. I’m working on ideas to get there, and to get there before I’m too old to have the energy to enjoy it. I’m not concerned with getting rich financially. My dream is to just be happy, healthy, and at peace.

Having it all requires money to make it happen, but having it all isn’t about having a ton of money.
