Just a Quick Hello and Update

Hello everyone! First thing I want to do is thank you all for checking out my weekly posts. I missed this past week due to being a bit busy lately, but I’ll touch on that in a moment. While the site is taking longer to grow than I thought it would, I’m super grateful to all of you who have subscribed, and to all of you who pop on here from my social accounts. As I’m sure you know, I love writing, and according to some folks—I’m a pretty good writer. My cryptid articles and my high strangeness ones are such a blast to not only write, but I LOVE doing the research, as well. I’m learning and I’m writing, which are two of my favorite things to do. To know you are reading them and enjoying them makes it so much better; like an extra scoop of ice cream on a slice of apple pie… yum!

Considering we’re in the summer months, I might not always be able to post on Sunday’s like I have been. I might take an unannounced week off here and there. This past month has been super busy, and it looks like I’m going to be busy until around September. My plan is to get ahead of the weeks, by writing more when I have the time, so I can try to be as consistent as I can with my weekly posts. So we might have some smooth sailing as far as not missing any weeks, but I wanted to address this so there is no confusion if I miss time here and there. I have zero plans of slowing down, and there are so many things I want to learn about and write about, so please stick around for the ride!

I’m currently still waiting on Volume IV of the Hunted to wrap up editing. My editor and good friend has had some personal things going on that has lowered my book on the list of her priorities, and I totally understand that. The book is in good shape, and it’s in great hands—it’s just taking longer than we had hoped to be ready for publication. I can’t quite put a finger on a release date as of right now, but I’m hoping for October.

Glad you asked! I have several projects going on at the moment, which is partly why this summer is busy.

I have another book in the works titled: Stranger in a Strangeland: Words of the Wanderer. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen… not to say I’m doing something groundbreaking, but this book is going to be a like looking into part of my soul, and while that makes me nervous to share with the universe, I feel like we’re only here for a short time so why not show it all. I’m hoping to publish it by the end of the year.

Along with that book, I’m currently outlining a story that I’ll then turn into a script for a comic book. I’ve been in talks with an up-and-coming artist who has done some stunning artwork for other creators. This one is a little ways away, but I’m in the building stages and it’s so much fun. This comic book will be dark and gritty with hints of horror in a “super hero” type of environment. Sometimes I wish I could snap my fingers and have things finished because I’m super stoked to release this already, but it likely won’t happen until mid 2026 at best.

I wrote a screenplay in 2019 or 2020, and sold it to a friend who was going to film it. Covid happened, and then life got in the way. He asked me last year to look it over and make any changes I thought were needed. I basically did a re-write and sent it back to him. We had plans of having it filmed last September, but it didn’t work out. We are now talking and getting the ball rolling on it to start filming this summer. I know I keep saying this about my projects, but if I wasn’t super excited about it, would you be excited? That said, I cannot wait for this one to be filmed! We pulled from our youth and from our favorite films for inspiration and what we have is some slapstick comedy with a love and life story weaved into it. While it’s a short film, it has potential to be huge!

On top of all that, my editor/friend and I have had conversations about working on a novel together as co-writers. She’s a brilliant author, and I feel that our combined creative minds have potential to tell one hell of a story. We’ve got some ideas in the basket, so it’s not even in the early stages, but the creative spark is there and it will happen when we’re ready.

I secretly wrote a novel that is in need of some rewrites and editing, but it’s a story based off a Science Fiction story I wrote in script-form in 2009 that my friends and I tried to make into a 2D animated series. It was a LOT of work for three very inexperienced creatives to take on, and we eventually realized we were in over our heads, but I have a novel based on it that I hope to release next year.

I have a few other things in the chamber, but I’ve rambled enough. I think I’m going to do a post like this every month or other month just so I can keep everyone up to date. Like I said at the top of this letter—Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy lives to read the fun little things I post on here. You mean the world to me.

Oh, one last thing… I am going to be doing another podcast in the very near future!

I wish you all the best and stay tuned for this Sunday the 22nd for my next Creature Feature!
