It’s A New Year!!

Hello everyone!! I hope this note finds you all feeling good, healthy, and happy. The holiday season can be hectic, but it can also be absolutely lovely. Things went well on my end, and I saw a lot of smiles, so that makes me happy. Next week, I will get back to posting about cryptids, horror, and all that fun stuff, but I also wanted to ask you…. yes, you, is there anything you would like to see me do differently on here this year? A specific cryptid, or creature? Specific mythology? Movies, shows, or video games? I have some ideas to sort of change it up a little bit, but I would LOVE to hear from you and hear your suggestions!

Two things I plan to do for 2026 that I will share on here in some capacity is I’ve decided to read at least 26 books in 2026. Feel free to send me some recommendations! The other one, is something similar to what a friend of mine does. I plan to watch 52 movies this year; one movie for each week. I love reading, and I love movies, but I don’t always make enough time for them. I feel these plans will help me enjoy things I love, but they will also likely help me maintain my creative drive. Again, any movies you’d like to recommend, please do so!

Okay, so I posted this on my Facebook and Instagram pages on New Years Eve, and would like to share it here with all of you since I’m 99.9% sure you do not follow those pages. If you’d like to follow me on them, you can find me at: jonsolosebastian on Instagram, and at Jon Solo Sebastian on Facebook. I’ve hyperlinked those so you can just click and follow.

2025 was a year for sure. Some things didn’t go my way. Some did. I feel like certain situations I put myself in kicked my ass pretty hard, but I believe it has made me stronger, and it has definitely encouraged me to look at all things with a different pair of glasses.

While I will continue to put others before me, I will and I need to focus on myself in order to continue to grow as a person and as a writer.

I’ve rediscovered my faith this year, and will continue to walk that path to find the way to becoming who I’m meant to be.

Outside of surviving the year, my greatest accomplishment for 2025 could not have happened without two of my closest friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We filmed a movie I wrote and I’m so proud of it- not just because I wrote it, but because it’s a beautiful creation made by brilliant minds. All of us- the crew, the actors, and everyone who pitched in, became one machine working to achieve a goal, and I cannot wait for everyone to see it once it’s ready!!

I’ve got plans, I’ve got goals, and I WILL make them happen.

I hope everyone that reads this goes into the new year with good health and happiness.

Happy New Year!

I’ll see you all next week with my first cryptid post of the new year!
